Our undergraduate program brings together the disciplines of planning, architecture, urban design and urban conservation. Our program draws extensively on the wealth of urban issues and projects which cities in Turkey provide, whilst our students benefit from the involvement of scholars in architecture, urban design and urban conservation in our teaching and learning environments. Our program applies a range of teaching styles and methods, including individual, group and project-based workshops, seminars, lectures, site visits and field trips.
Program Objectives
Our undergraduate program has recently been revised to deliver an academic education which:
- Provides a coherent understanding of social, economic, political and environmental aspects of urban change and processes that shape cities
- Enables its students to combine an awareness of practice with a sound theoretical foundation
- Provides knowledge about the various techniques and methodologies in the field of urban planning, architecture, urban design and urban conservation
With the recent revision, the program is dedicated to equip students with a broad range of skills and knowledge that will provide varied career opportunities to its graduates who go on to many varied and distinguished careers in planning and other related professions. It offers a wealth of varied courses that equip students with a broad range of skills and knowledge as they pursue their interests and design their future careers.
